Chicago (Sept. 27, 2013) – Global executive search firm DHR International is pleased to announce that Executive Vice President Jill Schofield has been named as the company’s Global Head of Mining, a sub-sector of DHR’s Industrial Practice Group.

“The mining industry requires the unique attention from our firm that other practice areas receive and Jill’s vast experience in the industry makes her the perfect area lead,” said Joe Huddle, global leader of the Industrial Practice Group. “We know there is a great opportunity for growth in this area and we’re excited to see it happen under Jill’s leadership.”

Schofield started her career working as a geologist and explorationist for such companies as Eldorado Nuclear, Denison Mines, Brinco Limited and Shell Canada Ltd., working primarily in the exploration of uranium and base metals such as lead, zinc, copper and silver. In 1982, Schofield joined Chevron as an explorationist where she spent nearly 15 years working in oil and gas. In 1996 she became a national manager for IBM and led the supply chain and delivery of outsourced serviced nationally.

In 2001, Schofield transferred her career to recruiting and she joined DHR International in 2011. In addition to her new title, Schofield also serves as DHR’s managing director and executive vice president for Western Canada and is based in the firm’s Calgary office. Jill will also continue as a leader within DHR’s Industrial Practice Group.
