High-Performing Urban District CEOs: IDA's New Report
May 26, 2016 | International Downtown Association
The International Downtown Association presents High-Performing Urban District CEOs, a new report exploring the essential leadership skills and behavioral traits required to run a dynamic, successful place management organization. The study is the result of 90-minute interviews with 50 leaders within the downtown and urban district management industry from the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean and South Africa.
The study is now available at no charge to IDA members ($75 for non-members) to aid in hiring processes, professional development, and maintaining a competitive advantage.
The study highlights urban district CEOs as diverse, adaptive, skilled and savvy leaders in their communities, and will become a critical guide for career development and hiring of industry leaders. A series of useful appendices provide the full list of functional skill sets used to hire, evaluate and guide CEOs, along with information on the evolution of urban district management organizations.
Downtown and urban center leaders need to continually refine their skills to enhance their district's assets and maintain a competitive advantage.
DHR International's comprehensive, online, self-assessment instrument measures cognitive styles and patterns of motivation important to the work of these leaders.
IDA members are eligible for a special discounted rate from DHR to receive a personalized leadership evaluation in comparison with peer leaders in the industry. Contact Cole Judge, Director of Research, for more information.
