Lim joins DHR International as EVP

SINGAPORE (28 August, 2013) – Global executive search firm DHR International is pleased to announce that Margery Lim has joined as executive vice president and is based in the firm’s Singapore office. Lim will focus on senior level searches within the advanced technology and consumer practices.

Lim has extensive experience throughout her career in human resources in Asia Pacific, spanning 12 countries from Australia and India to Japan, Korea and China. Having worked at General Electric (USA)/RCA, Thomson SA, ICI and Fairchild Semiconductors, she has extensive knowledge and experience in the diverse cultures and practices in Asia as well as in partnering with and advising global business leaders and their corporate teams.

With the consumer electronics business of General Electric (USA)/RCA in the early 1980s, Lim was instrumental in pioneering into China, where the company’s manufacturing base expanded rapidly to over 7,000 employees in Shenzhen.

Lim more recently spent six years with Fairchild Semiconductor, as head of human esources for Asia. Before that, she spent eight years with Quest International as their Regional Human Resources Director for Asia Pacific, where she worked with regional vice presidents in the food and fragrance divisions to rebuild and grow their businesses.

Lim was born in Singapore and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada. She started her career as a Research Officer with Singapore’s Ministry of Defense.
