Jan Westerink serves as partner in DHR’s European HQ in Amsterdam. He is a member of the Global Consumer and Retail Practice and Practice Lead for Europe. He is also a member of the Life Sciences Practice Group.
Prior to joining DHR International in 2010, Mr. Westerink was client partner at Korn/Ferry International, bringing along more than 10 years of experience in conducting senior level search assignments for companies in both the Netherlands and across Europe.
Before his career in executive search, Mr. Westerink has worked for VNU, at that time one of the leading Dutch publishers, where he held various commercial positions, including that of sales manager. His last position at VNU was in the business development and analysis department at the head office, focusing mainly on strategic issues, competitor analysis and due diligence.
Having worked in the executive search industry for this long, Mr. Westerink has established a good understanding of the global consumer & retail industry markets where he is operating in and therefore he has been able to advise numerous clients in their recruitment strategy.
His experience in search covers all levels of management, including general management, senior commercial management and supply chain, and Financial Management.
Mr. Westerink received his master’s degree in contemporary economic history from Leiden University.
