Beryl Chu serves as Executive Vice President in the firm’s Shanghai office.
She fulfills the executive needs of multinational and Chinese listed companies. Most recently, Beryl was the Partner & Branch Manager of the Shanghai office of IIC Partners. In that space, she led a team of 10 in addition to recruiting some of China’s top business leaders. Prior to IIC Partners, Beryl spent several years with Heidrick & Struggles and TMP worldwide in Taipei. Since 1998 during her experience in retained executive search throughout Asia, Beryl has accumulated market knowledge to provide senior management solutions to various industries including private equity, venture capital, the industrial sector, technology, FMCG sectors, and luxury retailers.
Originally from Taiwan, Beryl has lived and worked in Shanghai since 2003 and has proficient local knowledge of caliber executive candidates: both locals and expatriates. She is also an expert in the local China economic market and is able to offer her clients the expertise as well as her ability to attract and retain executive level candidates. Beryl’s skill also extends to setting the expectations and informing potential candidates of their place in the global market, all while keeping her clients’ best interest as her top priority.
Beryl’s know-how also extends to the motivation and retention of C-level candidates in the fiercely competitive Chinese market. She also has a history of finding international and local candidates who are experts in leading joint-venture and WFOE business.
Beryl is a graduate of Tsinghua University in Taiwan and received a MBA degree from Institut Superieur de Gestion, Paris.
Beryl speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese, English, French and rudimentary Italian.
