Jeff Evans serves as Executive Vice President, and is based in the firm’s Detroit office.

Prior to joining DHR, Mr. Evans served as Managing Director at global executive search firm, Boyden International.  He led the the not-for-profit practice as well as serving a variety of for-profit and healthcare clients. He has successfully completed searches for President and Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Vice President for Operations, Vice President for Human Resources, Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Executive Director, etc., for a variety of clients. He also has extensive higher education recruiting experience, including numerous searches for senior administrative staff for both academic and non-academic divisions at all levels from Department Head to University President.

Mr. Evans  has also conducted C-level searches for Michigan healthcare providers, filling positions such as President, CEO and Chief Nursing Officer as well as CEO for a major Outpatient Medical Rehabilitation and Pediatric Life Care Center.

Mr. Evans graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Psychology, and completed several post graduate courses through Central Michigan University and the University of Michigan. His previous experience includes 17 years as Director of Personnel and Staff Relations at Central Michigan University, followed by five years as a Supervising Consultant and National Education Practice Leader in the Executive Search Group of Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers).

Mr. Evans has served on multiple not-for-profit boards, and has belonged to numerous professional associations including the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC); the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM); the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce; the Grand Rapids Economic Club; and the Steering Committee for the West Michigan Policy Conference.
