Anthony A. Tansimore serves as Executive Vice President, and is based in the firm’s Silicon Valley, California office. Prior to joining DHR, Mr. Tansimore served as Senior Consultant at The 360 Group, an executive search and consulting firm serving the nonprofit sector. Before his tenure at The 360 Group he served as Chief Financial Officer of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), where he led the finance and fund development functions, and oversaw the management of a 12-story office building in downtown Los Angeles. Prior to that, he was Chief Operating Officer of The San Francisco Foundation. Mr. Tansimore has also held numerous positions at the Fannie Mae Foundation in Washington, DC; his last being Vice President and Acting Head of Communications. In that role, he led a staff of sixteen, and directed development and implementation of communications strategies and all events on behalf of the foundation. Mr. Tansimore also served as Vice President of Regional and Community Initiatives at the Fannie Mae Foundation, leading a remote team of grantmakers in the foundation’s five regional offices. He was responsible for a $10 million grantmaking budget intended to promote community development and homeownership in communities throughout the nation. Before joining the foundation, Mr. Tansimore served as Western Regional Communications Manager, then Public Affairs Director for Fannie Mae, leading the company’s communications and government relations efforts in nine western states. Mr. Tansimore has also served as Press Secretary for former U.S. Representative Pat Schroeder and former Denver Mayor Wellington Webb. Mr. Tansimore is also active in civic and community activities. He currently serves on the National 4-H Council Board of Trustees, and serves on the Executive Committee, and was most recently the Chairman of the Board for two years. He also served as Vice Chair of the American Composers Forum Board of Directors, and chaired its Advancement Committee. He has also served on a number of local boards of nonprofit organizations in the Bay area. Mr. Tansimore is a graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law and Colorado College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science.
