Patricia Watters Binkley serves as Executive Vice President in DHR’s Detroit office. Ms. Binkley specializes in the manufacturing and industrial sectors.

Ms. Binkley brings to the executive search community over 20 years of unique and diverse leadership in manufacturing and manufacturing consulting.  Prior to joining DHR, Ms. Binkley spent six years as Vice President with Harbour Consulting. At Harbour, Ms. Binkley led engagements in research, manufacturing strategy and operations improvement for automotive as well as many non-automotive clients. She recruited highly qualified employees for Harbour that led to double-digit growth while increasing the organization’s capability, credibility and client satisfaction.

At Harbour, Ms. Binkley was a principal contributor to the writing of the leading industry publications - The Harbour Reports, which analyze and rank assembly, stamping and powertrain plants in productivity and lean manufacturing.  Ms. Binkley conducted assessments of dozens of automotive manufacturing plants in US, Mexico and Europe.

Prior to joining Harbour, Ms. Binkley was co-owner of a manufacturing consulting firm, providing research and consulting services to industry. Ms. Binkley’s manufacturing and operations experience began with General Motors Corporation.  Ms. Binkley spent 13 years in factory floor operations in production, quality, and manufacturing engineering. Subsequently, as Superintendent of Industrial Engineering, Ms. Binkley led teams of engineers in broad scale cost reduction, productivity improvement and lean assessment in vehicle assembly plants across the country.

Ms. Binkley has had extensive interface with human resources, quality, product engineering, finance, production, and manufacturing engineering disciplines, bringing together resources to solve problems.  Ms. Binkley offers her clients hands-on, practical experience and broad insights from the best practices of a wide range of companies.

Ms. Binkley brings unique insights to the requirements of senior level searches. As a life-long Detroiter, and one who knows the advantages of living and working in Michigan, Ms. Binkley is well positioned to help Michigan companies attract and retain top executives. Ms. Binkley holds a BA from Kalamazoo College with a major in Economics and a minor in International Business and an MA in Industrial Relations from Wayne State University.
