John V. Jazylo serves as Executive Vice President and splits his time between DHR’s New York and Newark offices. Mr. Jazylo is a member of the Advanced Technology, Financial Services, and Board & CEO Practice Group.
Mr. Jazylo has recruited Chief Executive Officers, Chief Information Officers and other functional senior managers for some of the most recognizable global industry leaders, such as Liberty Mutual, Ford Financial, Ford Motor, Cooper Industries, American Water, JPMorganChase, State Street Bank, Thomson Reuters, KeyCorp, and Daiwa Securities. He has also assisted venture capital firms in identifying senior managers who have positioned their portfolio companies for growth.
Prior to joining DHR, Mr. Jazylo served as President, Managing Director and Founder of JVJ Associates, a Management Wellness Practice. His practice specialized in organizational performance (team assessment and managing change), leadership development (coaching and developing leaders), and talent management (attracting, selecting and retaining talent and managing succession).
Prior to his various consultancy practices, Mr. Jazylo was President and Chief Executive Officer of NYNEX Development Company, a multi-unit holding company specializing in the areas of network management, customer service, multi-media, computer processing and venture capital.
Before NYNEX, Mr. Jazylo held senior management positions with American Express Company and Warner Communications (now Time Warner) where he provided general management leadership with P&L responsibility for transaction processing and electronic distribution products and services. He also has extensive international experience in Europe and the Pacific Rim from both a user and provider perspective.
Mr. Jazylo has authored several treatises in the delivery of financial services to consumers and corporations including the co-authoring of a textbook on electronic funds transfer. He holds a degree in Economics and is a Graduate of Brown University Graduate School of Banking. He has also completed Harvard University’s Advanced Program on Negotiation and Difficult Situations.
