Ronald Woessner serves as the North America Leader of the Chief Financial Officer Practice as well as Managing Director of the firm’s Minneapolis office. He has completed numerous senior-level searches in a variety of industries, focusing on C-level and Board positions with concentration in the financial services, healthcare, venture capital/private equity, consumer products and industrial sectors.
Mr. Woessner combines an extensive professional network with strong interpersonal skills and a background in finance within diverse businesses. Prior to joining DHR International, he was President of Woessner & Associates, an executive search firm, from 1983 until its 2010 merger into DHR. His reputation for relentless pursuit of “the perfect fit” for his clients has led to numerous referrals and repeat client business over the years.
Prior to launching his 30 plus year career in executive search, Mr. Woessner gained business experience with Deloitte & Touche, where he planned, supervised and conducted audits of private and publicly held companies in various industries including manufacturing, banking, agribusiness and construction. While at Deloitte & Touche, he was chairperson of the Practice Development Committee for the banking industry.
He subsequently joined CHS, now the world’s largest grain, fertilizer and feed merchandising cooperative, as Controller of its Operations Division. His last position in industry was Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Team Electronics, a franchiser of consumer electronics stores.
Mr. Woessner received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of St. Thomas. After teaching and coaching football at the secondary school level, he became a Certified Public Accountant and subsequently began his business career.
He was a founding Board Member of the MinuteClinic, Inc., a member of the University of St. Thomas Alumni Board, and has served as an officer of several not-for-profit and community associations and school boards. He is a member of the Minneapolis Club and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants.
In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
