Ms. Fries serves as an Executive Vice President and is responsible for developing and managing relationships within the Professional Services, Advanced Technology, Venture Capital & Private Equity, Retail and Consumer Products sectors.  She is also a member of DHR’s Diversity Practice Group.  In these capacities, she is responsible for leading teams in the successful execution and completion of senior-level executive search assignments.  She has more than 20 years of executive search experience serving clients across all functional disciplines, specializing in C-level and Vice President/Director roles with firms across the United States and globally.  She has completed hundreds of searches over the course of her career. 

Serving as a trusted advisor, Ms. Fries helps clients identify and recruit the proper mix of talent required to develop their businesses.  Her consultative methodology centers on working with senior executives to look at all aspects of human capital management.  She has a strong track record in helping her clients assess their talent acquisition needs and providing an objective appraisal of the company’s ability to attract and retain diverse candidates.  Her clients range in size from Fortune 500 organizations to mid-cap companies to pre-IPO private equity and venture capital portfolio companies.  Ms. Fries is driven by results, and repeat business is her definition of success.

Prior to joining DHR, Ms. Fries founded a successful boutique retained executive search firm, The LF Fries Group, Inc.  The firm specialized in retained executive level searches across marketing, operations, merchandising, supply chain, IT, human resources, sales, finance and accounting, and legal functions.  Previously, Ms. Fries spent more than 10 years with a large global search firm as a senior search consultant and top producer specializing in accounting and finance leadership functions across multiple industries.  She began her career in finance with Fluor Corporation, a Fortune 500 EPCM deliverer, in the company’s eastern region.

Ms. Fries holds her MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.  She earned her BBA in Marketing and Finance and a BA in French from the University of Minnesota.  She is involved in the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement and the Retail Industry Leadership Association.
 
Ms. Fries and her husband reside in Saint Paul, MN where she is an active fundraising volunteer for the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory and the American Diabetes Association.
