Infrastructure & Energy Funds
The Infrastructure and Energy Funds Group partners with open and closed ended equity and debt funds, asset managers, sovereign wealth funds and pension funds, to help build and retain their teams.
Our approach is different from most, as we seek to be the go-to resource for all our clients’ needs within both their internal investment teams as well as their portfolio companies. With investors in the infrastructure and energy landscape becoming increasingly nimble and innovative in evaluating new types of assets; with emerging markets becoming more attractive for investment; and, with pension and sovereign funds focusing on direct investment, we believe it is imperative to liaise with government officials, equity researchers, professors and technical consultants. Doing so, not only provides us with an understanding of the talent in the marketplace but gives us perspective as to what is happening within the political and social landscapes of the markets we cover, as well as technical advancements; and how all of the above could affect our clients’ investment theses.
As executive search and advisory professionals, we generally work at the vice president level and above for our clients’ investment teams. For our clients’ portfolio companies we assist with organizational reviews, C-suite roles, Board placements and industry experts/consultants. Given our specialization in team builds, we excel at the analyst and associate level hires as well. We create a variety of bespoke studies, reports, and Board opinion pieces, for topics ranging from diversity to compensation; and make strategic introductions to clients’ looking to partner with other groups, or for senior investment professionals in other markets who can be prepared to bring a pipeline of deals to the table.
Our group’s model is to work with a small number of clients over a long period of time, with the goal of establishing solid long term partnerships. We spend a significant amount of time getting to know our clients’ teams, fundraising initiatives, goals for growth and portfolio makeup. This allows us to better understand the culture for recruiting and long term organizational purposes, and to become credible brand ambassadors in the market on their behalf. And, with more than 50 offices globally, and one P&L, we are well positioned and incentivized to work collaboratively, effectively and efficiently for all of our clients and candidates.
