Recruiting for the right talent is no easy feat. If you're in the business of hiring you know that sorting through hundreds of resumes can be time consuming and overwhelming. As a candidate, it's no picnic either. With digital making us all have the attention spans of a goldfish or less, candidates need to make every effort to stand out from the sea of paper. However, there gets to a point where candidates are taking artistic license too far. Last week, I saw a resume for a buying position that was pink and lavender with at least four different infographics and fonts. I joked that it looked like a Valentine's Day card, but in all seriousness, it inspired this post. Wells Fargo Finds ‘Fresh Blood’ to Close Era of Consumer Abuses

Wells Fargo & Co. has jettisoned a longtime strategy of growing its own leaders in favor of importing them as part of the effort to clean up its image. The San Francisco-based firm hired Steve Troutner -- a veteran of Citigroup Inc., Bank of America Corp. and Wachovia -- to lead the community bank’s U.S. Western region. Financial Industry Recovers amid the Downturn, with Asset Management Bucking the Trend

The biggest wish of employees is an increase in salary. Research institutions’ surveys have shown that employees in the financial industry were the ultimate winners in 2018. According to the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management’s Pay Trend Survey, the financial services sector enjoyed the highest pay growth rate both in base pay adjustments (5.3%) and in non-guaranteed bonus plans (17.63 months of base salary) compared with other sectors.
