Alix joins DHR International
Sep 4, 2013
Sept. 4, 2013 - DHR International, the privately held global executive search firm, is delighted to announce the appointment of Xavier Alix as executive vice president. He will be a member of multiple DHR International Global Practice Groups with a specific focus on expanding the firm’s already strong presence in the European industrial, financial services, and advanced technology sectors.
For the past 24 years Xavier Alix has been a senior figure at Odgers Berndtson having founded and been the managing partner of Odgers Berndtson, France, as well as a board member and chairman of Berndtson - the group’s European arm - where he oversaw the firm’s expansion into Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Russia and the UK.
Frank Smeekes, DHR International board member and managing director for Europe, commented:
“ At DHR, we have grown a significant presence in Europe by recruiting outstanding, well established European executive search leaders, counselors and trusted advisors who are able to deliver meaningful value to our international client base. We are therefore delighted to welcome a proven senior executive like Xavier to the DHR International team. His professional experience and outstanding academic background will further complement our pan European teams particularly in the financial services, industrial and advanced technology sectors.”
Educated at Ecole Centrale, Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and Harvard Business School, Xavier has a successful track record in finding international executives and board-members who understand how to deliver continuous improvement. Notable assignments Xavier has completed include securing two non-executive directors for one the world’s largest packaging companies, the CEO for a leading logistics group in Europe, the Chief Compliance Officer for a large international financial institution, and the MD for a major Japanese consumer electronics group.
Xavier Alix added:
“DHR International has a truly innovative structure that is based around best servicing the needs of its international clients and executives – rather than being bounded by in-country constraints. This practice led cross-border approach is highly compelling. I likewise am highly impressed by the calibre of DHR’s rapidly expanding European team.”
