DHR International Completes BMO Harris Bank Director of the Board Search

Global executive search firm DHR International is pleased to announce the appointment of Adela Cepeda to the board of directors for BMO Harris Bank.
Chairman David Hoffmann and Executive Vice President Nick Slee, both in the firm's Chicago office, completed the search. This is their sixth successful board placement for BMO Financial Group and its US subsidiary, BMO Harris Bank. Established in 1817 as Bank of Montreal, BMO Financial Group (TSX, NYSE: BMO) is a highly diversified financial services organization. With total assets of $525 billion as of Oct. 31, 2012, and more than 46,000 employees, BMO provides a broad range of retail banking, wealth management and investment banking products and solutions.
Cepeda is president and founder of A.C. Advisory, Inc., a full-service financial advisory firm that provides services to governments and not-for-profit organizations seeking to raise funds in the capital markets. As president, she manages the structuring and execution of transactions in the capital markets for corporations and municipalities. Since 2005, A.C. Advisory has been the only minority owned firm to be listed among the top 10 financial advisors in the nation. And, according to Thompson Reuters, in 2009, it was ranked the number six financial advisor in the nation for total bond issuances (negotiated and competitive) and the nation's number three financial advisor in federal stimulus financings. Her previous experience includes serving as managing director and co-founder of Abacus Financial Group, Inc., and as vice president for the corporate finance department at Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co. Inc.
Cepeda previously chaired the audit committee of the board of Wyndham International, Inc., a 20,000 employee company that owned and operated hotels and resorts in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. For 10 years she served on the executive committee of the Chicago Community Trust, and for 20 years, she served on the board of Chicago's Public Building Commission. Cepeda is currently on the boards of Windows to the World Communications, Inc. (PBS Channel 11- WTTW), Ravinia Festival Association and the Girl Scouts., Inc.
Cepeda graduated cum laude from Harvard College with a Bachelor in Economics, and with an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
