Pangburn joins DHR as EVP in Washington D.C.

WASHINGTON D.C. – Global executive search firm DHR International is pleased to announce that Wendy S. Pangburn has joined as executive vice president in the firm’s Washington D.C. office.

Pangburn brings nearly 30 years of professional experience in recruitment, association management, fundraising and event production to the firm. Prior to joining DHR, Pangburn was a partner with Heidrick & Struggles where she ran the Nonprofit/Association Practice in Washington, DC and was one of the firm’s top producer worldwide in the Nonprofit/Education Department. Marquee national CEO searches include: American Red Cross, American Diabetes Association, American Farmland Trust, Turnaround Management Association and Association of Air Medical Services. Heavily involved with the international public policy arena, she hasserved as the external recruiter for all senior positions at the Atlantic Council of the United States over the past several years.

Pangburn previously served as the executive director of the Chief Executives Organization, Inc. (CEO) for more than 10 years. CEO is a worldwide network of former leaders of the Young President's Organization (YPO). Her early career includes roles on Capital Hill and work with the White House.

Pangburn earned Bachelor degrees in economics and art from Bucknell University and a Master's degree in public administration from Harvard University. She currently serves as the international alumni board chair of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. As an association specialist, she is also the only recruiter from a major executive recruiting firm that has earned a CAE (Certified Association Executive) designation.
