SINGAPORE (JULY 14, 2014) –

DHR International has appointed Steve Stine as the new managing director of the firm’s Asia-Pacific region. Stine will lead the firm across all divisions and functions in APAC, DHR’s largest business region outside of North America. Christine Greybe, president of DHR, will continue in her role as president with added responsibility of growing strategic global relationships for the firm.

“DHR entered the Asian market with one office in 2004, and now we have expanded into eight countries in the region. Christine has been instrumental in building our presence throughout the region and I look forward to her contributions on a more global scale,” said Geoffrey Hoffmann, chief executive officer of DHR International. “Steve is the perfect leader to continue the positive momentum we have in Asia and around the world. He is an innovative consultant that brings an intense focus to client relationships and will foster the DHR culture of collaboration as we continue our growth throughout the region.”

Stine has lived and worked in Asia for nearly 25 years and was most recently a partner and one of the top regional performers with Heidrick & Struggles. At Heidrick, Stine built out the firm’s Digital Media & Entertainment, and Renewable Energy & Clean Technology verticals in Asia. He also served as sub-practice head for the Global Technology & Services practice in the region.

Prior to being a leader at Heidrick, Stine established Asia Ventures International, a strategic consulting and services group specializing in new business start-ups and strategic consulting services. He began his career in Asia as the Hong Kong correspondent for the Asian Wall Street Journal. He later became a telecommunications and media analyst with Paul Kagan Associates and PricewaterhouseCoopers. After that, he was appointed to IBM as the Asia-Pacific e-business marketing manager.

Stine received his Master’s degree in China Studies and Economics from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C., and a second Master’s degree in Mythological Studies from the Pacifica Graduate Institute in the US.

Greybe joined DHR in 2004 as the managing director of Asia-Pacific and was promoted to president of the firm in 2009. She has been an integral component in growing DHR’s international business and became one of the firm’s leading consultants. As president, Greybe led the expansion of DHR's international brand by opening offices in Mainland China, Dubai, India, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore. She leads DHR’s Diversity Practice and Board & CEO Practice in Asia-Pacific, and her leadership in those roles has led to the placement of female talent in key roles, particularly in Japan.
