Leap: DHR’s Leadership
Developed by Columbia University PhDs and verified by leading organizational psychologists, Leap is DHR’s proprietary, online psychometric assessment tool.
Designed specifically for executive recruitment, Leap captures a candidate’s attitudes, values, preferences, and beliefs from a leadership and cultural fit perspective. The tool helps predict if a candidate will succeed and achieve professional satisfaction in your organization.
The underlying basis of the Leap model is that people have an innate tendency to lean in one direction or another in regard to their preferences, attitudes, beliefs, and values. The unique combination of an individual’s tendencies and choices provides insight into how the individual perceives, understands and interacts with the world.
Leap is administered through a user-friendly 30-minute online survey which requires no preparation or special instructions. Reports, which are created immediately via the tool, are easy to understand and interpret.
Leap measures nine factors that influence reasoning, problem solving, decision making, job satisfaction, and interpersonal style in the workplace:
- Thinking Style
- Risk Tolerance
- Work Style
- Social Motivation
Although Leap was developed to be complementary to DHR’s Competency-based Interviewing and 360 Degree Referencing tools, Leap can be used as a stand-alone tool, or in combination with DHR’s other assessment tools and techniques.
The Leap questions will yield a numerical value for each preference. The power of the leap assessment is to reveal how each candidate’s unique combination of preferences informs how they understand and interact with the world and how they will perform in a key role in your organization.
