Rob is an experienced executive recruiter and leadership coach, having served with three of the world’s largest executive search firms and led two of the country’s leading boutiques.
In 2020, Rob joined DHR International as a Managing Partner where he currently leads the firm’s Global Financial Officer practice and plays a key leadership role in the Private Equity and Advanced Technology practices. Prior to joining DHR, Rob launched TillmanPartners to deliver recruiting and coaching services, and he continues to provide executive coaching through DHR’s Elevate Partners.
Prior to launching TillmanPartners in 2019, Rob spent 17 years building one of the country’s leading executive search boutiques as the Founder and CEO of TillmanCarlson. Based in Chicago, he specialized in recruiting CFOs and CIOs and serving middle market companies and private equity investors, completing over 300 searches while achieving a 95% completion rate and a 98% stick rate.
In addition to leading TillmanCarlson for nearly two decades, Rob began his career in search with Russell Reynolds Associates in Chicago. He then joined former colleagues as the Managing Partner of Crist Partners where he led the firm through its highly successful sale to Korn Ferry. Rob also worked in public accounting, having completed his undergraduate degree in accounting at the University of Illinois, and he completed his certification as an executive coach at The Hudson Institute. < Read less
